This workshop, held in person at The Bouverie Centre, considers the rationale for including children and play in family therapy and explores a range of creative techniques for involving all family members in sessions where there are children present.
This in-person workshop, presented by The Bouverie Centre, will explore the determinants and contexts that underpin the use of violence by adolescents against parents/carers. We will then look at how systemic ways of working with the adolescent, parent/carer and other family members can support positive change and enhanced family trust, respect and safety.
Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) has been a focus in recent years in Sweden. IPV is a huge personal and social problem not only for affected couples and families but also having a tremendous effect creating intense debates among professionals. The dominant narrative in Sweden can very briefly be described as influenced by the Duluth Model.
